My wife and I had to put down our Shiba (almost 15 years old) last year and the woman who did it was amazing. We used Paws to Rest, can't remember if that is associated or not.
It was incredibly hard but the woman performing the euthanasia made us both feel at ease and that we were making the right decision. She listened to our stories, thanked us for our obvious compassion and love for Ika and cried with us when it the final injection was administered.
DM me if you want some details.

I'm sorry for your loss F_G.
It's devastating to go through, but take solace in the face she's not in pain any longer.

Sorry to hear about that F_G. It always is horrible to lose a family member regardless of what form they come in.
Wish you all the best.

I feel for you FG. Dogs are like family and when the time comes to put one down it can be heart breaking.
Sorry for your loss.

She went peacefully; surrounded by those she loved. She was such a good doggo.

Hopefully you'll find it in your heart to get another dog.

We lost our dog Wren today. I posted yesterday in the pet appreciation thread that I may have to be posting in this thread today, and indeed I do. Wren was only four, a mutt from the humane society. She was a reserve dog, and loved little kids so we think kids were nice to her when she was a puppy. She hated brooms, and snow shovels, and anything long like that. She had her idiosyncrasies, and wasn't perfect. But I loved her and she was my best friend.
I took this picture of her last night, on our last off leash walk. Other than the health issues that were causing her pain, she was healthy and loved to run free. I'll miss her forever, I'm sure.
