If this is how we treat our young skilled forwards, we better be ready when Gaudreau decides to sign somewhere else

If I was Johnny Hockey, I wouldn't go near the Flames.
Knowing how the Flames treat their small skilled players: Roman Horak, Sven Baertschi,
its inevitable the Flames brass will try and turn him into a 3rd line checking forward and then judge him for not putting up points while seeing only 8 minutes of icetime a game.
Lets try and get Iggy back

Yeah this is terrible.
I understood benching him for a game here and there but how can a player get back in the lineup and prove he has to stay in the lineup without playing.
Especially considering they just had a short practice yesterday. Just makes no sense.

The craziest thing is that he benched Sven AFTER we just beat a top 3 Hawks team. And continues to bench him after we get blown out by the Wild and a top 6 forward gets injured....

The team played emotionless, had zero jump, and lacked enthusiasm last game?
Better scratch Baertschi again!

by hat trick do you mean 3 dubm penalties? and is the 5-1 ration of penalties the Flames will take compared to the Blues?

I've really tried being patient with Hartley but I am starting to get pissed off. I don't know if this is coming from Brian Burke but the way we are treating some of our skilled prospects none of them are going to sign here and will end up pulling a Justin Schultz.

They are last in hits because they have the puck the whole time...They also have some of the best 2-way players in the game and a great d-core
Toews, Hossa, Sharp, this Kane argument is really silly. Players "like David Jones" win stanley cups every year.

Same issues that we saw in Minnesota will be there against Blues. They need to do something differently or they will never get the puck.

The fact that this is going to be a long rebuild is just one of the many reasons why I want Sven Baertschi in the lineup over Tim Freakin' Jackman.

It's not as black and white as Jackman>Baerstchi. Obviously Sven just isn't doing something that the coaches want to see. Not like Jackman has been playing better then Sven therefore took his spot, he's simply filler. Not saying I agree with it, but I see when Bob is coming from
"We felt that Max Reinhart was playing very well over in Abbotsford. St. Louis is a big, physical team and we like what Max brought to us in training camp and in exhibition games," Hartley explained. "We felt that Max was the right guy for tonight's game."

This is very true. Players like Patrick Kane win you cups.
It should also be noted that Patrick Kane has worked tirelessly over the past couple seasons to improve his defensive game and play away from the puck, which culminated in a great year last year.
Patrick Kane, one if the absolute best and most exciting offensive machines the league has to offer, changed his game so that he was responsible defensively and a valuable player without the puck.
Surely if one of the best if required to do it in order to improve his play, we shouldn't be so worried about our prospect having to do it as well.
