You're doing a good job making the GDT annoying by constantly whining about it.

Whining? Pretty much stating a fact. Trust me, if you're slightly annoyed by my posts you will want to gouge your eyes out when you read stuff tonight.

If they keep that pace up once their games played catches up they'll be around 2nd or 3rd.

How can anyone defend Hartley here? Finally Glencross is taken out of the lineup (unfortunately, due to injury), which opens up space for Baertschi in the top 6, and he STILL benches him? Are you kidding?
There is no logic behind this. This has NOTHING to do with performance. It's obvious that Hartley does not like Baertschi.
Hartley is trying to make a point here. He's standing by his principles. Problem is, his principles are hazardous to this team.
Can't wait for Jackman not to fight and take a stupid crosschecking penalty tonight.

Still look at the standings...the 8th place team is going to have a great record

Seems to me like Sven is not doing something to keep him from getting in the lineup. He needs to figure it out quick

Jackman and McGratton have no business being in the NHL.
Part of me hopes fighting is banned.

He's not Tim Jackman or Brian McGrattan apparently.
You guys know how much we've always valued useless 4th line goons.

Yes we were much better without baertschi in the lineup. 0-4 without baertschi here we come.

True, but it's still early. Look at the Ducks, 1st place because of 17 games played not really because of record (they'd be 4th or so if ranked by win %). Which I wonder why they don't do the standings that way, it's effectively how they work at the end of the year.

I actually can't figure it out quite frankly. The only thing I can think of is he is actually banged up but they aren't saying that to protect the player from someone targeting him in the future, and we are also playing a very physical team in the Blues.
I want to hear words from Hartley about this before I think anything else on the matter.

Sounds to me like the coaches want Baertschi to be doing something and he's not doing it. I won't pretend to have any knowledge of the situation, but to me that's the most logical explanation.

The coaches seem to believe that in order for any player to have success in this league, you have to be gritty.
Chicago just won the Stanley Cup, and was last in the league for hits/game.
Players like Patrick Kane win you Stanley Cups, not players like David Jones.
