Goaltender never remotely had possession. There was no reason for that official to blow the whistle that quickly. Horrible officiating again.

Of course now we are going to see Nashville get away with anything until they are able to make a cheap make up call on the Pens.

edit: haha a penalty a second after I posed.

Second time this series the Preds have been hosed on a call affecting the first goal of the game. What are the stats connecting team to score first and team to win?

So why is that non-negotiable?

The Flames were awarded a goal this season after a discussion following an early whistle:

I despise Nashville more than any team since the 2011 Canucks, but that was BS. Should be 1-0.

Came in for people whining about Pens slanted reffing despite the Pens have 0 PPs in the game so far. Leaving satisfied.

Pens used their time out. Hope they don't need to challenge anything later.

Has the League provided an explanation?

The Preds must be besides themselves with anger.

It's fast hockey, but I wouldn't call it good hockey.

This is going to be one of those heartbreakers for Nashville, I can feel it.

Heading into the 3rd at home, tied after plenty of good chances to score, including a disallowed goal from a quick whistle. Penguins are going to get some weird bounce and score a goal late in the 3rd to win the cup.
