I admire Nashville and Poile's body of work immensely. Team is full of drafted players with some actual hockey trades mixed in. Free agents frenzy? Nope-
instead Poile has been in on several of the biggest player for player trades in recent memory, and has made out like a bandit.
Would love to see a team built the right way (no tanking for talent) win it, to prove it can be done without going full Oiler (and others).

Gonna be a fun match up with NSH having such a huge advantage on D and PIT having an equally large advantage at C (and top 6 F in general). G are pretty close.
The Preds will be the fresher team with the extra rest which I think will benefit them early in the series.
Normally I would agree but the Pens still get 3 full days off, and is it possible the Preds are too well-rested? Hopefully their practices are keeping them somewhat in game mode.
Ugh, wish this series would start sooner. Along with the frequent 2-day breaks, this is going to be take forever

The Pens get to sit at home for three days off before the finals start and there will be 4 two day breaks in the series. The extra Preds rest means nothing.

It means a lot when it comes to bumps and bruises and all the nagging injuries. Thise extra days the Preds had will mean something when the series starts.

I can remember back in the 80's when teams played back to back at home with a few days of travel when it switched to the other teams rink. There is no good reason they should be playing hockey in the month of June.
