I hope to see 30k in the stands as a loud crowd can help make a difference.

Manny Arceneaux is a game time decision for the Lions - There seems to be more concern about his ankle than his concussion.

They should start giving away tickets to the upper corners. I don't mean that in my usual snarky way, the Lions did it for their playoff game due to horrible ticket sales, we should too.
I know the Flames just don't operate that way, but man it would be nice to see a full house. They could attract a bunch of families and a great experience with a powerhouse playoff team could make lifelong fans out of a bunch of kids. But they're better business people than I, so just maximize that revenue today, who cares about tomorrow!

They need a new stadium so bad. Especially considering all the other cities opening them. Pretty sad one of the premiere cities in Canada and basically the Patriots of the CFL the past few years play in such an outdated dump to the point that they can't even draw 80% capacity for a play-off game. It's embarrassing.
I bet a new stadium would really help inject some excitement towards to the team in this city, and make them "cool" again to the average Calgarian.

Well, the declining interest overall shouldn't be understated. If the league keeps trending towards emptier stadiums as a whole the Stamps likely won't be an outlier regardless of where they're playing.
That's why I think the league should be catering to the younger generation like yesterday.
Condescending fans and management can give all the business lectures they want about how 27000 tickets sold for $500000 a game is better than 32000 tickets sold for $550000 with the hopes that the crowd levels go up, all they want but at the end of the day if those extra 5000 fans grew up fans and then bought season tickets you're better off in the long run.
But more importantly the CFL is heading to a bad spot where the league may fade to obscurity. Imo, it isn't a $100+ ticket game and certainly isn't a $35 to sit on a cold bleacher, three miles from the action game. The league treats it fans like it is and the fans are responding in kind.

Then thing is all live sports are trending downward for fans, I'm not oblivious to that, but the CFL is volunteering themselves out the door first, lol.

B.C. isn't counting on a slow start by the Stampeders, but the Lions are ready if it happens.
"It's hard for a team to sit for as long as they did," Lions receiver Bryan Burnham said. "Obviously it helps them get rested up and heal some injuries, but at the same time you're not out there playing football.
"It would be nice to jump on them quick, but it's Calgary in Calgary. We know they're going to be ready."
Sunday's forecast is promising for a Nov. 20 with a high of four degrees and mostly sunny. The Stampeders said ticket sales had reached 31,000 on Friday.

Also in the above link, the layoff helped Jamar Wall heal from an ankle injury suffered in the season finale against Montreal. Good to know Jamar is available for Sunday's game.

Enter promo code STA129 into ticketmaster and you'll get a ticket to the Western Final for $25. Can't beat that price if you are a football fan.

Dickenson rolling the dice a bit by only dressing 6 O-Line but coming with 8 D-line guys, though i certainly understand the thought behind it.
A couple injuries up front and this season could be all for not. No need to dress 3 QB IMO. Leave Tate off the roster and dress an extra big man.

Well, Quinn Smith can definitely play on the O-line if needed. As for Tate, he's an important part of the kicking game as the holder for Paredes and this game could come down to a last second kick.

Yeah i get why DD has done what he has, but this club has been besieged with OLine injuries for 2 years now and it just worries me a bit when i see them shorting themselves at that position.
Even if they sit Buckley and dress a Canadian O lineman(like CamThorn) in his spot...i would feel a bit better. Quinn is a nice luxury to have but he simply isnt a full fledged hog like the others.
Lavertu or Lavoie benig available would solve everything in reality.

First time in 8 years that I'm not having to work this and the next 5 week-ends. The flag is coming out of hiding and will be proudly flown at McMahon once again. Go Stamps!!!
