Default GAME 2: CANADA DAY HOME OPENER between Winnipeg and STAMPEDERS

I completely missed the season opener last Saturday against BC because I was in Seattle. I watched the highlight the next day when I got back to BC though. I guess the Stamps blew the lead and special team lost the game for them. Paredes missed a couple of field goal and special team got beat by Chris Rainey late in the game. Oh well it is just one game and I am sure they'll bounced back from their mistakes.

GAME TIME: Canada Day (July 1st) at 8pm McMahon Stadium.
Televised: TSN and ESPN2

OFFENSE: QB Bo Levi Mitchell threw 1 TD pass and went 16/27 for 233 yards last game. RB Jerome Messam only carried the ball 7 times for 16 yards while Tory Harrison carried 5 times for 19 yards. Receiver Kamer Jordan had a great game and so as Lemar Durant. Rookie OL Grozman played as a centre because Lavertu was injured. Hopefully our OLine will be healthy after the first game.

DEFENSE: First time Stamps defense will play against Canadian RB Andrew Harris in Blue Bombers uniform, Stamps defense looks fast starting with the DLinemen and so was the secondary.

SPECIAL TEAMS: I like what I've seen on Roy Finch. It looks like this guy is legit and he's quick. Too bad Paredes kind of struggled a bit last game and Stamps gave up a special team touchdown on the return by Chris Rainey,

Looking forward in watching the game on Friday. GO STAMPS GO!!!

So bummed, I was pumped to go to this. But now we're driving to Regina for a never annoying out of town long weekend wedding, for a relative of my gf's I've met once years ago. Haha not that I'm bitter or anything..

Hope Dickenson commits to the run game better, especially while the new WR core still sorts itself out. Even with Cornish gone, the RBs are so deep that the Stamps cut solid potential there in TC, which confuses me why they were used so sparingly in Vancouver. Especially when you have the lead all game.

@ScottMitchellPM:
Looks like Cam Thorn is going to start at centre ahead of rookie Roman Grozman this week. Pierre Lavertu will miss another week.

No Lemar Durant (ankle) today. Looks like a big role for Simon Charbonneau-Campeau at SB. #CFL

Roy Finch is quick. Hopefully he is our version of Banks and Rainey.

Offense and special team are struggling so far this season. If it wasn't for the defense, Stamps are starting to look like mediocre team.

The offence just can't sustain any drives, so frustrating.

Hard to say what they call, but I think there was too much contact there.

What an awful time management by the Bombers. Ran out of time without a chance to kick a field goal at the end of the half.
