I look forward to the group of Spain, Italy, Czech Rep., and Ireland.

Italy always seems to be paired with at least one of those teams, so why not just make it all three.

from Austrias standpoint, I see nothing in pot 3 and 4 which would scare me. Getting to the KO phase should be a realistic target.

God, what an attractive tournament. The weakest teams could probably go toe to toe with almost anyone outside of UEFA.

I'm hoping Croatia's strong midfield and good attack can lead them to their first major trophy.

just looking at it there's definitely a group of favorites, but if I am a pot 1 team I am not exactly excited at any team I draw, and I expect we see plenty of upset results

Pots 3 and 4 might have 3 of the 5 biggest goal scoring threats in the tournament in Lewe, Ibra, and Bale.

I think Croatia, Russia and Italy are considerably stronger than Austria in Pot 2. Pot 1 are obviously the best teams in the world save a couple South American squads.

I will blow Platini if he can arrange for Poland to either be B1, B4, C2 or C3.

Oh Platini needs more than homoerotic sexual favours to make that happen. How are your finances? Any good at money laundering?

You'll regret that remark when Lewa puts 5 past Almer

Poland can hang in there with any of the teams in that list. Not a single team outside of Pot 1 scares me at all.

But Poland is notorious for choking in the group stage of major tournaments. They've never made it out of the group in my lifetime. Hopefully Lewangoalski can change that.

I would love to see a Poland vs. Austria match.

Talk about two free-flowing teams with end to end chances. That would be fantastic.

And you'll regret that remark if Polska gets Croatia or Italy. Poland has Lewandowski, yes, but not exactly strong up and down the lineup.

I'm not saying we will have no issues with the teams outside of Pot 1 but I think we are very capable of beating any of them. Including Italy and Croatia, although those would be two tough match ups.

In other news, Poland beat the Czech 3-1 in a friendly today. Suck it Pot 3.

Italy maybe, but Croatia have been underwhelming at best. They've got a good roster but poor results.

All Poland have to do is hold fast and Lewy will likely pot them at least one.

Does anyone know how the Euro draw works this weekend? I know that they draw one team from each pot per group but if you are drawn from Pot 3 into group C does that mean that you are C3 on the schedule?
from another thread

in the past they have always drawn the team then drawn the spot

i.e if Poland are drawn 1st from pot 3, they go in group 1, then they will draw whether they are A2, A3, or A4

Isn't Michelle banned from the draw proceedings? He should be.

Ah I see. I'm going to be devastated if Poland is drawn from Pot 3 into Group C and get switched. O'well, I wait for Saturday with bated breath.

I really hope to see Croatia win one for my dad. He's had a tough year.
