After a close scare Muller puts them ahead.
Scotland acquitting themselves fairly well so far.

Portugal lose 1-0 to Albania at home. That's a pretty big upset.

good lord the Germans had a ton of chances but just didn't get man goals. Müller nailed one in extra time and almost had his hatty

They aren't even off the pitch yet and it's rumoured that Bento has been fired.

Germany are going to be very different for the next little while. They're experiencing a combination of World Cup hangover and severe changes.
Most of the winning team was Bayern or Dortmund, a lot of that has changed now as players are moving around, also with the retirements and injuries they're having to vet new, young players.
It's not going to be the same as Spain who basically had the same 11-15 guys playing together forever.

Good 2nd half by Scotland. Deserved at least a point
I thought the ref was shocking gave everything to the Germans, that's nothing new tho when you play the bigger teams in the world
Also a very good result for Northern Ireland today

Best performance by a Scottish player yesterday was by McGeady.

LOL.
Today's England & Switzerland fixture.
Henderson is now doubtful, after injuring his ankle in training. That's in addition to doubts over Sturridge, Lallana, Barkley..
This is for Samuelsson:
---------- Rooney
Welbeck - Sterling - Oxlade
---- Wilshere - Henderson?
Baines - Jagielka - Cahill - Jones
----------- Hart
Sterling in the attacking mid role. He's flourished in the diamond with Liverpool, and imo, is the most important young player for England. This also keeps the captain happy, as opposed to Sterling on the wing, Welbeck up top and a moody Rooney in AM.
I have no idea who plays if Henderson is out. Milner? Townsend? Barkley?
Offense has dried up, so curious to see if Roy can start that engine again.

Switzerland: Sommer, Lichtsteiner, von Bergen, Djourou, Rodriguez, Behrami, Inler, Xhaka, Shaqiri, Seferovic, Mehmedi. Subs: Hitz, Benito, Senderos, Widmer, Frei, Stocker, Dzemaili, Fernandes, Kasami, Drmic, Schar, Burki.
England: Hart, Stones, Cahill, Jones, Baines, Wilshere, Henderson, Delph, Sterling, Welbeck, Rooney. Subs: Forster, Rose, Jagielka, Chambers, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Townsend, Lambert.
Referee: Cuneyt Cakir (Turkey).
Torn about this ref. On the one hand I will think of him as the clown that sent Nani off in the CL last year against Madrid and ruined the tie but on the other hand he's the one that sent JT off in the CL semi against Barca. He's also sent off Balotelli and Cahill will remember him as the fella that red carded him in their world club championship game a few years back.

It looks like it'll be a miracle if England finish this game with 11 men on the pitch.
Delph will be lucky to finish this game, has anyone ever taught him to tackle?

That was bad. Sterling has a tap in if that ball is played to his feet.
