All signs point to Phil Housley being next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. Question is how soon it will happen
I think this could be a good hire. Always like Phil the thrill. He played really well for the Flames in the dark age and does seem like one of the bright up and coming minds in the coaching ranks.

He moved up the coaching ranks fast. I think his first time coaching was at the 2013 WJC, and he won gold. Then a bronze medal coaching at the World Championships also in 2013. Again with Team USA at the World Cup this year , and an asst coach on a Stanley Cup finalist. All this in the past 4 years.
