Flames NHL 10 Fantasy Thread

Hello there,

As an avid fan of NHL10 I want to discuss moves that I made in regards to my fantasy team using All Swiss National Teams and All Czech Teams with a few DEL league teams. I am using relatively new rosters and applying the fantasy draft.

Is there any player on those respective teams that I should target in the upcoming fantasy draft?

Default Day 1

Game 1: Trinec: 2 at Karlovy Vary: 4

F: Prestburg-Morrison-Satan
Moulson-Neidermayer-Vyborny
Schaefer-Lundmark-Daigle
Jackman-Nilson-Murray

D: Bakos-Heins/Stralman-Backman/Sydor-Warrener
G: Leinonen

Trinec loss on the road to open the season was the first real evaluation of a roster full of under-achievers. The first period was a rather rocky start to the season as Karlovy Vary took an early 2-0 lead. Trinec should significant poise though down by such a margin when Karlovy Vary added another goal near the end of the second period. Heading into the 3rd period Trinec came together as a team and with the help of a couple of power play goals they clawed back to a 3-2 score. Pelle Prestburg found a loose puck on the doorstep, and Glen Murray chipped another goal on the board respectively. This wasn't enough as Karlovy added an empty netter to secure the 4-2 win. Trinec looks to picj up a win in their home opener against HC Lasselberger Plzen. Following the defeat, reports indicate future line up changes to spark chemistry and fill the gap at 4th line center. Also, Goalie Tero Leinonen was shaken up when traffic in front of the net caused him to be knocked down several times in the first period.

Default Day 2

Game 2: HC Lasselberger Plzen v.s. Trinec
F: Prestburg-Morrison-Satan/Moulson-Neidermayer-Vyborny/Schaefer-Lundmark-Daigle/Jackman-Nilson-Murray
D: Bakos-Heins/Stralman-Backman/Sydor-Warrener
G: Leinonen

Trinec home opener did not exactly meet the fan’s expectations to begin with trailing into the half way mark of the game. Trinec demonstrated a heighten ability to take away and control the puck put were unable to convert on ample chances. Allowing a powerplay goal early, Trinec trailed 3-0 entering the half way mark in the second period. Michael Bakos led a physical battle to help his team gain momentum, laying thunderous hits to outside wingers. Bakos led a defensive effort to contain the outside scoring threat but added an offensive threat to his game as well. Bakos sent a wrist shot to the net and scored through traffic. Alexander Daigle added with an assist on the play cutting the deficit to 3-1. Marcus Nilson would add a goal late to give Trinec a chance late in the third period to bring the score to only 4-2 loss. Leinonen stopped 24 shots in the loss and did not look like himself. Also, David Vyborny was levelled by a defender late in the third, though dazed Vyborny continued his shift and did not finish the game. Precautionary measures were taken and nothing was found. Team Doctors advise Vyborny to sit the next game as an added precaution.

Dude, I'll save you some effort:

1) There is already a NHL 10 thread
2) No one is going to care about your team, your game results, or game stories no matter how bad/good they are, no one is going to read them. That's suited for a fantasy hockey league simulator league, not a forum like this.

Stick to discussing the game itself, not your playing of it and take advantage of other threads.

Isn’t everyone interested in knowing how Vyborny is feeling the day after the big hit?
