Ha I was going to say the same thing. If the rebel gets chastised for it's news then the rabble is no better. Neither gets a free pass.

Care to address what Kenney said to inappropriate left wing media source?

Refusing to read strictly partisan material is probably a good idea, but only if you apply it to both sides of the fence. Otherwise you'd be better served taking both in to see what the other side is saying.
Pretty rarely and I take anything he says to be 90% spin.
Except when he was fighting the Human Rights folks, that was comedy.

I'll take a crack at addressing this "article" by delving into Kenney's actual quotes:

1. Schools brainwash children with anti-conservative beliefs

That's kind of a cultural challenge for any conservative party, any party of the centre-right, and we've got to figure out how to break that nut."
The headline sensationalizes what Kenney said by using the term "brainwash". Schools do teach collectivism, identity politics and environmentalism, and emphasize those topics over other political topics, especially in the early grades.

2. Constitutional powers are passed down to Canadians from God

To quote the preamble of the Constitution act:

http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/Const/page-15.html

Obviously a religious person will interpret the preamble differently than an irreligious one like myself, but I don't begrudge him his beliefs.

Since this point is a veiled Hidden Agenda attack, I'll take what he said as recently as 2016"

3. Carbon dioxide is good
I can't defend that. This is a common conservative trope that does not look good on conservatives. Yes, plants need CO2; no, anthropogenic global warming isn't a hoax pushed on western governments by The Socialist International.

4. "Bohemian" youths are "unconsciously" promoting communism
This refers to young people wearing Mao and Che gear as well as insignia of communism. His point is that communists including Mao and Che have an extremely bloody history that the kids wearing this stuff are not conscious of.

5. Marxist professors are working to "suppress" Canada's "Christian patrimony"
This comes from a heavily edited video where he is comparing theories of multiculturalism and provides no context about his opinion.

Kenney in 2012 was and is today a defender of integrationalist multiculturalism. I don't believe that this edited video represents his point as it runs counter to what he has said at thousands of cultural events in the 5 years since then.

6. Women talking about abortion? What's next? "The Church of Satan"?
This interview comes from the 1980's before he worked for the Saskatchewan Liberal party, where he ended up as executive assistant to Ralph Goodale. Perhaps these comments should be attributed to future Liberal staffer Jason Kenney rather than prospective premier Kenney.

Clearly given his recent quotes, (see 2, above) and his immersion in the Stephen Harper school of letting social conservative issues lie, his views have changed.

I hate to be 'That Guy' but are two polar opposite publications actually called:

'The Rebel'

and

'The Rabble'
