Peter's parents were brought up in the main universe Spiderman line of comics. The biologist angle is from the Ultimate line of comics.

I guess they were. Although not in a main book. The spies part is from Untold Tales and as the article mentions they are only ever mentioned in passing since then.
However, that wiki article also mentions the Ultimates versions of the characters and that could be similar to the movie.
Superbad was the last REALLY funny movie i have seen.
21 Jump Street was pretty good... if you haven't seen it yet check it out.

This part of the plot is interesting:
"In Skyfall, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her."
My wife and I were talking at one point about how much we both liked Judy Dench's M character, and how interesting it would be to see her backstory. Could make for a really cool story.
