I haven't read the article, but not having Strome and Dubois in the top 5 is a little weak.

Those Flames rankings are a little... off for my liking. I would have put it more like this.
1. Jankowski
2. Parsons
3. Andersson
4. Gillies
5. Kylington
6. Fox
7. Hickey
8. Mangiapane
9. Klimchuk
10. Shinkaruk

That's cute, but Strome has put up 315 points in 159 games over the last three years in Erie. And I am taking Keller/Strome over anyone not in the NHL right now.

It would be great to see Parsons or Gillies take command of the net in the next couple of years.
Jankowski and Andersson are I think the most likely to step into the line-up next year.

Yeah it's a great read! Strome was at 7, Dubois at 10.

Jankowski seems a bit underrated by them. He should probably be in the top 50 prospects.

Strome is terrible, needs a lot of AHL time.

No Kaprizov in the top 5 is pretty indefensible.

Parsons is the Flames top prospect in Buttons eyes as well. Hopefully he can me a Matt Murray type that is ready to go fairly young

I have it on good authority that Strome is going to have a tough time making the pro squad. Silky soft mitts, but bad wheels and low hockey IQ. Odds are against him.

Both the Stromes seem overrated.
Seem to just crush the offensive numbers at lower levels, but the NHL seems too much for them.
Dylan has NHL size, and has absolutely killed the OHL for three seasons now, yet he can hardly get a sniff on one of the worst NHL rosters.
I mean how often do you see a 3rd overall pick play 19/20 year old season in the OHL when he's been pretty much a 2 point per game player at that level for two seasons already? Pus he's 6'3 and 200+ lbs. they aren't waiting for him to get bigger.

Not a big fan of the issue or the way they rank teams. There must be some eastern bias towards the Strome brothers as neither of them has done anything outside of junior. Even their basis of how they ranked the players is off as they have Keller ranked number one because he's had a great year and that's fair yet Puliujarvi has been an AHL healthy scratch and he's number two compared to prospects that have had much better developmental seasons. I suppose they think he will shake that off and become a big time player in the NHL and that's highly possible seeing any winger they put on McDavid's line is going to put up points.

Speaking of Dylan Strome, boy did the Yotes ever get boned by that 2015 lottery.
Sabres lost McDavid, but at least they got Eichel. The Yotes go from Eichel to Strome and have to deal with McDavid being in their division on top of it. Ouch.
Then you look at what guys like Marner, Werenski, Provorov, Hanifin are doing. Double ouch.

I think Dylan wanted to go back to the OHL because he would get first line minutes and compete in the playoffs and the Yotes granted it.
Michael Dal Colle is another player drafted high that went back to Junior as a 20 year old.
Stepan Falkovsky was a player that the Flames wanted to send back to the OHL but Ottawa wanted the spot as a 20 year old filled by another player.

Source?
I find it hard to believe that anyone would choose junior hockey over the NHL, let alone a 3rd overall pick.

I didn't say he chose junior hockey over the NHL. Arizona let him play 7 games where he showed he wasn't ready and I believe he chose OHL over AHL.

Do you have a source for that?
He wasn't even AHL eligible.

When you say he wanted to go back to the OHL then essentially you are saying he chose the OHL over the NHL because for him the AHL wasn't an option.
