Hey Everyone, I am a regular reader on this site but dont have a chance to post regularly. Im not sure if this is the right spot for this so mods feel free to move it. I am a student at the U of L and will be graduating next year with a kinesiology degree, and i wish to get into the sports marketing field. I am currently looking for a summer job in the sports marketing type field, I know i didnt see many people on here in that industry but if anyone knows anyone or could lead me in a certain direction that would really help. Feel free to PM me if anyone has any questions

I'd like to join your networking cabal, if its not too late. I've just started a new position with a fairly new organization and would like to get the name out there.

I can add a couple options to the mix. I am an independent contractor that works heavily in Microsoft Office development. Access and Excel data mining, reporting, you name it (and automation with Word/Outlook too for some funky abilities like e-mailing quotes as you are talking to clients). If you need help in developing, maintaining or even simple training in these programs, that is my current strength. Business analyst with a focus on designing what works well, and requires low maintenance.

Secondarily, as I run a slopitch league which has been hampered by astronomical DJ costs for events we have held lately, I am in the process of buying some slick equipment to be able to do it ourselves. So if you have an event where you want someone who know tunes that work for a variety of ages (20-50), I can help.

My website and contact info.

Might as well put my information in to place as well, since I've had a week to get things figured out here.

My name is Greg Bates, I'm the manager for business development for Terra180 LP. We do multiple things.

1) We provide IT Solutions and procurement based around standard and non standard Infrastructures, we run the gamut from standard to the extremely high end.

2) We work with organizations that use Accpac ERP, in both the implementation of and the creation of customized software development based around Accpac

3) We've gained an exclusive line of products based around the elimination of Spam email, and compliance required storage of emails, these appliances run the range of small organizations to very large enterprises, and are extremely cost effective and powerful.

Our website is at www.terra180.com. please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss any of the above services, either through PM or at my email at gbates@@terra180.com

Excellent, excellent idea troutman. I know a lawyer at my firm has been doing this for years. He generates a ton of great contacts and stays abreast of what's going on out there.

I'd love to get in on the group but it seems that by adhering to the one person per industry rule, I can't participate without taking you out

My name is not important. I am an associate at a mid-sized Calgary law firm. My practice consists primarily of civil litigation.

My name is Stephen Torscher and I'm just wrapping up my articles at Walsh Wilkins Creighton LLP. Our firm does a lot of aboriginal law (though that may not interest m/any of you). We also do a great deal of matrimonial law and real estate law as well. My particular areas of interest, though, seem to revolve around civil litigation and criminal law.
I would not mind another lawyer in the group, if we are practicing in different areas.

Looks like Flames Central will be open soon, so we can schedule a meeting in the near future.

OK, I think it is time to think about a first meeting.

Do you think Flames Central would be willing to set aside space for about 20 people one night? We could agree to make it a regualr monthly event. Maybe 7:00 some weeknight, when the Flames are not playing?

Why don't we try to make it even a bit earlier like 5:30 or 6? Then people can just head down there right after work rather than having to wait until 7.

I would assume most people are done work around 5 and can make it there for 5:30 or 6ish.....

Just my thoughts.....
