Parker Foo is committed to Union College next season, according to eliteprospects.com

He'd be a damn Foo not to choose the Flames.

Anyway, if we are on his list and we can get a free asset, yes please. The more RWers we can get in the organization the better. So he is an Edmonton kid, so it will be interesting to see what the Oilers offer him.

I was wondering about that Youtube that says "Oiler Prospect Watch". I don't know anything about this guy. Did the Oilers drafted him? Is he a 100% free agent or Oilers are in danger of losing him through free agency?

100% free agent. Was undrafted. Never a part of the Oilers organization. Is the YouTube video from the official Oilers channel? Or just a fan that made it?
As for Foo always nice to add depth for free especially on the right side. Wouldn't mind seeing him signed and seeing what he can do. Expectations would be pretty low though as these signings don't usually produce much.

He played midget hockey in Edmonton, which is likely where the footage of him in Oiler colours is from.

No real room for him in Edmonton but I suspect he signs there. I'm sure he's aware that we sorely need right wingers but the chance to play at home is huge... sigh

My friend played all three years with Foo at Union. I went to watch them play at the start of the year in Michigan, he's fast and can create a lot off the rush. I think Vecchione benefited from playing with Foo. Don't get me wrong Vecchione is great but to me Foo drove the play and can find the net too. I think he'd be worth signing, play next year in Stockton and see what he can do turning pro.

It would be nice if our RW depth wasn't FOOBAR.

Its just a fan that makes prospects videos.
He made it because Foo was potentially linked to the Oilers and he thought Oilers fan would be interested in seeing Foo's highlights.
If Foo ends up being anything like Cagguila he'll be a good pickup for whichever team lands him.

If you're a hockey player and you sign with a team based on how nice the dressing room is, you probably aren't going to get anywhere anyway because your priorities are totally out of whack.

That's a bunch of foo-ee.
The whole basement of the Saddledome is brand new thanks to the great flood of 2013. No Flame will ever wait in line for a half an hour to pee.
And Rodgers Place is a dump.

So he could be waiting to see what happens with Eberle and/or Brouwer this week before making a decision.

Spencer Foo isn't expected to make decision on an NHL home until Monday/Tuesday. As reported, Edmonton, Calgary, VGK and Philly all in mix.
