He probably shopped him, did'nt find a good return and now is back stepping and denying to save face and not destroy whatever relationship he has with Glencross.

Wow. 25 or so teams called for Glencross. I wonder what they were willing to give up.

Did not put Glencross "out there" for trade talks. Does mentions that Glencross prompted phone calls from approx. 25 teams. But he was never out there for trade. We never wanted to move him.

Sounds like Kiprusoff and his family wanted to stay put due to some longish term issues following his wife's pregnancy and Oscar's birth; perhaps they feel like they want to stay with the medical teams providing care for his son. Kind of sounds like that, from what Feaster said.
If that's the case, medical stability is huge. Being shunted from one specialist to another, from one facility to another is a stress beyond belief.

Are you kidding me? He's a puppet. Owners said you can't move GlenX and Feaster hangs up the phone.

I don't mind this one bit. For the meager return that Kipper was likely to garner this year, might as well keep him and let him retire, or play out his last year as a Flame.
If he chooses to retire, I wonder if he'll return back to Finland or stick around.

LOL at Feaster patting himself on the back about "threading the needle" for the StL deal.

I dunno... you don't take 25 calls and not hear what's out there. If so, he would have sent an email to the league - ala Sarich and Babchuk - that he's not available, so don't bother calling.

The fact that we made 3 trades this week and didn't take back a single current NHLer shows that there's been a real shift in the mindset of management. You never know what's going to come out of a rebuild, but I don't think there's any reason to doubt that the rebuild has begun.

Haha Feaster talking about how Conroy got dropped off in Red Deer when the Kings traded him to Calgary, about how NOT to conduct yourselves as a team when you trade a guy.

For crying out loud, knock it off.
In his press conference, Chiarelli specifically cited talking to ownership as one of the many steps in a complicated trade process. So he must be a puppet too right?

I have lost all faith in this management team. How do you not even listen to what other teams are offering? What if it's an offer that knocks your socks off? That's just plain stupid.

Don't mind at all that Glencross was an untouchable. The guy is a steal at his sallary and will most likely score 30-35 goals and 60+ points next season. He's a good piece to keep on a rebuilding team.
