Default How will Johnny Gaudreau respond?

We can all agree that Johnny Hockey did not have a season and post season, that was up to his standard. Going into the next season, there will be changes, how will Johnny Hockey respond, will be he be his old self?(scoring 80 points and killing it in the post season.)

I was asking this because I wanted to get Johnny Hockey Jersey(they are 50% off ) but if(big if), he gets traded, than I have a jersey of a former player.

The jersey I was looking at buying.

Buy it, he wont get traded any time soon.

I am sure he will come back next year hungrier and stronger. He will be "Johnny Hockey", not "Johnny Hooky".

Year 1: 0.80 PPG
Year 2: 0.99 PPG
Year 3: 0.85 PPG

Holdout + Injury and he managed solid totals. It's not as bad of a year as you were making it out to be.

I hope I'm proven wrong, but I think he's too soft to reach his actual potential in the NHL.

I fear he will get hurt in a year or two and never be the same, handcuffing the Flames with an expensive contract.

That being said, I'm hoping that he matures a little in the off-season and realizes that whining to the refs isn't going to do anything, and starts playing with some grit (similar to how Crosby had to switch his style of play)

Johnny Gaudreau, clearly the worst goaltender of the 21st century

Where do people keep getting the idea that Gaudreau will get traded?
Yeah, he had a disappointing year compared to the previous, but he's still our most skilled player.

Should probably just expose him in the expansion draft.

Do you think Johnny may be showing signs of being intimidated by opposing players. He is small and perhaps the larger guys have found ways to neutrilaze him.

It definitely seemed like a lot of teams and players got better with scouting and neutralizing him a little bit. It felt like the little tricks and deceptions he was getting away with a couple years back weren't flying so well now that everyone knows who he is. I'm intrigued to see how he progresses now that he's an established star.

No, he went from playing in Hartley's pond hockey system to an actual system where there was structure. Period.

but most people seem to agree that overall that it was a disappointing year for his performance.

maybe the question should be did people overestimate johnny's developmental progress and ceiling?

people had him beating Mcdavid in scoring (some had him as a better player, too) and maybe hitting 100 points.
I don't think maybe people expected him to be under a point per game and so invisible in the playoffs, and at times so predictable in his play.

maybe the question should be what do you expect from johnny next season. do people still see that 100point player, or is he going to be a 70 point player?

This is not even a case of hockey pool worrying. It's a case of long-term jersey concern.

Ball's in your court ToewsFan.
