In all fairness, if Mart Bartkowski can make this team mid-season after playing the entire season outside the NHL, I think we can come to following conclusions:

1) Kulak isn't very good. If anything, Hickey would probably "Kulak" Kulak.

2) There isn't much of a log jam to make this team in the 5-6 spot. Hickey would probably challenge for a roster spot next year along with Ramus Andersson

We can also make the following conclusions:

1) Hickey should go to the oilers if he wants a 50/50 chance of his career being derailed by clown-level player development.

Out of camp sure, I thought he had a good preseason/camp. The problem with all the players rotating at the bottom, is that they never progressed during the season. They were all given the opportunity and no one ran with it.
