iCloud pages merging/overwriting?

Mrs Rathji put some important information in her iPhone in Pages, it was a default document name which I assume is named "Blank".

She later made another, totally unrelated document on her iPad which, I assume, was named by the same convention.

So now she has 2 documents named "Blank" on separate devices and then at some point, when stuff synced to the iCloud, her important information on her phone was overwritten.

Is there any way to recover this document? It is pretty important.

I did something like that on Evernote, and what it did was save a "conflict" note separately that held the conflicting information, maybe see if there's a new document like that on either device.

If it overwrites that's pretty crappy.

Is her iPhone set to backup to iCloud? If it is, she should be able to go through her storage settings on her phone and drill down to see the exact pages files that were backed up. It might still be in there somewhere.

(Note that I'm talking about backups here, not document syncing.)

No, she does her backups to her laptop, and very rarely at that.
