I thought college kids had to pay their own way, but they were usually invited. If he's back home for the summer, I can't see why he wouldn't drive down for this.

Hickey has attended the last three. If he does attend, it will be by his choice (although, the Flames may not ask him to attend because he has already been to 3).

Aside from guys like Dube, Parsons, and Fox, I get the sense there won't be any "big names" at development camp this year. Maybe our first rounder from 2017.
That said, it will be nice to see some guys "a year later" (Tuuola and Phillips) and those who might be knocking on the door in the next couple of years. Hopefully guys like Andersson, Kylington and Mangiapane (who I'm assuming will all be attending for the third and final time) will be able differentiate themselves in a camp like this, having all played in Stockton last year.

Flyers elected not to sign him and he went back to the 2017 draft (where no one selected him). It appears a major injury in 15/16 kind of sidelined his development. More recently part of the QMJHL champion Saint John Sea Dogs

I hope they have the scrimmages elsewhere. The last couple years have been inadequate for seating, it's almost like they don't expect fans to show up. Last year I saw a couple fans in wheel chairs turn away because even the standing area was completely full.

They are booked at Winsport the whole week, so I doubt they're going to pack up just for the scrimmages to move somewhere else

One option would be to scrimmage on the big ice at Winsport, which has stadium seating.

Tyler Busch from Arizona State University will be attending Flames camp. He's a Lloydminster kid who played junior A in Spruce Grove. I think he captained them to a league title as well.

The Flames don't want to use international sized ice.

Under Treliving, the focus of this camp is far more about development and less about scrimmage. There may be less scrimmage time this year than last year.

I'll be in Grande Prairie, so it's a no-go for me, unfortunately.

Hopefully Kanzig and/or H Smith have improved enough to make the jump. Having a huge body that can play would help the Flames line-up a lot.
