Ugly start, hopefully we see another comeback like last night. Preferably a little sooner than the 9th though.

Much better inning from Liriano. Hope he got all the ugly pitches out of his system.

That's it for me. Hopefully they wake up the last half and come back but I'm not counting on it the way they're playing so far.

Bases loaded Pearce watches a fastball on the edge of the plate, Pillar K's swinging at a ball that...........well, I'm not sure what he was swinging at. That was just horrible.

This team (especially Pillar) is swinging at too much junk and is failing to punish many badly hanging offspeed pitches from opposing pitchers.
It's sad to watch.

Pillar needs time off. Even his defense is suffering. He can't do anything remotely well right now.

You know you're scuffling when Ryan Goins is the only one to drive in a Jays run.

It's quite obvious pillar has regressed to his mean. He should be batting 7th or 8th but then looking at our lineup, who leads off?
.300 in April
.250 in May
.150 in June

I believe in the Jays.

By the book Donaldson should hit 2nd. Best hitter should hit 2nd in the order. Martin should hit leadoff (best OBP outside of Donaldson).

Here's what I would try right now:
Martin
Donaldson
Smoak
Bautista
Morales
Tulo
Pearce/Zeke
Goins/Travis when he gets back
Pillar
Once Bautista is out of his funk:
Bautista
Donaldson
Smoak
Morales
Martin
Tulo
Pearce/Zeke
Goins/Travis when he gets back
Pillar

Pillar gets a night off. Which is probably a good thing for him.
Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling
Jose Batista bats leadoff for Blue Jays tonight, Kevin Pillar out of the lineup.
Spoiler for size

Not sure if its the line up change or if this Rangers pitcher is just serving em up.
Either way, I like it.
