Remember when these offseason press conferences were about signing guys like Shane O'Brien, Corban Knight, David Jones and TJ Galiardi?

Those were dark times, my friends. This is so much more fun.

At :33 seconds... Dougie may have some post-game photobomb competition on his hands.

The way Smith was talking about the Canadian market, you have to believe he's wanting to play in front of a crowd that actually cheers when you make a big save. In Arizona it's like a ghost town playing at home

That interview Hamonic did with Tim and Sid is well worth a listen. The guy is so happy to be in Calgary and also has a humble approach. He stated that playing with d-men the caliber of Gio, Hamilton and Brodie will force him to elevate his game. He also noted as an Islander d-man that he never looked forward to playing the Flames and how tough some of the Flames forwards are to defend against. Good segment.

I'm not sure Chevy even knows that you can make trades in the NHL.

As a Flames fan, it's just great to have a GM who isn't afraid to explore deals and pull the trigger when he sees fit. One of the best GMs in the league for sure, which makes the HF notion that Burke is actually the GM even more laughable.
