Default Big time fire downtown....

Can see the smoke from above the saddledone in Ramsay. What's burning down?

I was wondering why 6 or 7 firetrucks just went by on 14th St. I've never heard that many sirens before. Looks like it's in Sunalta.

I'm close enough I can smell smoke.

What sounded like every fire truck in town roared through Cliff Bungalow a few minutes ago. Can't see or smell anything from here though.

Another tweet says it's near 16th Ave and 16th St SW. I'm guessing it's whatever went up in this lot here.

The new structure there is super close to the buildings on each side. Hopefully they contain(ed) it before it spread.

Reminds me of the day when the Earlton Condos went up. Best excuse to skip classes, ever

I worked in Palliser Square. I am surprised the tower didn't fall over. I think everyone on every floor was standing on the south side of the tower watching.

I remember going to St. Mary's a couple blocks away. That fire happened after 9/11 and everyone was still on edge. Literally everyone thought it was some kind of terrorist attack at Lindsay Park. We all ran towards it (stupidly) only to find the condos on fire. Ash and embers were falling all over us. Such a crazy day.

Another fire the same/next day?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgar...gary-1.4147626

Got a pyro running around? Seems like a big fire/damage with the Fire station just down the street.

This morning I drove past this house on fire in Chestermere.

http://globalnews.ca/news/3506372/ma...stermere-fire/

It's spitting distance from the old waterslide building that burned down last week.

http://globalnews.ca/news/3484642/fi...re-water-park/

It's probably a coincidence but I wouldn't rule out an arsonist.

A fire at a Marda Loop restaurant early Tuesday morning is now being investigated as arson by Calgary police, fire officials confirm to CBC News.

Huh. I figured since it was a shisha lounge, it wasn't all that surprising it had a fire.
