Default Bluetooth Adapters (Receive & Transmit)

So, later today or tomorrow I'll be transitioning to an iPhone 7, and with it, the nuances of using Bluetooth for my headphones. I find the standard Apple earbuds uncomfortable (lightning-cable).

Thus, I've explored a few options.

I'd like the unit to Transmit & Receive, giving me the functionality ease to use it in other facets as well (watching tv, transmit laptop audio into car etc Minimal sound degradation. ApTX? Bluetooth 4.0? Any other requisites?

I first came across the Jack by Podo on Kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...k-by-podo-labs
Crossed off the list, because I don't want to wait until the summer.

Thus far leaning towards this MPOW unit.

CP BrainTechTrust, any insight?

Can't speak to either of those specifically but I do have this Mpow bluetooth device https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1, bought it to transmit tv audio to bluetooth headphones. I've found it to be a great little device for the price, works well, battery life is decent, haven't really tested the range but works perfectly from the 15 feet I've used it.

I got one at superstore for $19.99 about a year ago. Works good for the AUX only car... not sure if it transmits but I know for sure it receives.

I had a receiver from Memory Express a few years ago so that I could plug it into the aux port of my car and have my phone transmit to the car stereo over Bluetooth. It died last week so I just bought the MPOW yesterday. Will be here on Monday. These are receivers only though. I intend to get a powered one later to hook up to a stereo system permanently. The silver color is $2 cheaper than your link. https://www.amazon.ca/Bluetooth-Rece...00QX0YR7I?th=1

The MPOW that Hani posted has the RX/TX switch.

Also, I can't believe that's a Kickstarter. There were $10 versions of that thing like 5+ years ago already all over the place.

I've had the MPOW for over a year and have been very satisfied. Phone calls come in loud and clear. Callers say I sound great with no feedback. Music off of my Android handsets and my daughters iPhone has impressive sound quality. The battery is pretty solid and can go at least 10 hours of continuous music playback. Only gripe is that even though it remembers your device after the initial pairing, you must still manually turn on the adapter to connect to your device with each use.

I'm also listening to MPOW bluetooth headphones on my phone right now and they have been great for calls and audio.

Appreciate the replies and insight.

Good choice, converting regular earbuds into bluetooth with a receiver is a huge pain of extra cables and junk dangling around your neck.
