Jedi Outcast is on for $3, old game but a lot of fun for that cheap.

Anyone played Black Mesa?
Love the Half Life games, it's on sale for $10. Is it worth that or wait until spring?

I'm watching this sale from the sidelines. Already have a decent backlog that will likely hold me over till the next sale.

That's supposed to stop me from buying games?

Promised myself I wouldn't buy anything this time since I already have a significant backlog. Saw Max Max for $20. I'm so weak

Not impressed with this years sale. May have something to do with the absurdly large amount of games I have in my library I will likely never install as is, but still a far cry from the usual Christmas sales steam offers.

I only quickly browsed Steam when I got home and I would agree. Not a very impressive sale and the removal of the daily deals has probably cost them some impulse buys from myself.

I like GMG but you have to be careful because those prices are listed in USD. With our exchange rate it doesn't always work out to be a better deal.

The Shivah is on sale for $1.80.

Here is the overview:

Russell Stone is a Jewish Rabbi at a poor synagogue in New York City. He is a devout man with a problem. Membership is way down and he lacks the funds to keep his synagogue open. Things are looking very bleak, and he has grown progressively more cynical and bitter with the passage of time.

Just as he is on the verge of packing it all in, he receives some interesting news. A former member of his congregation has died and left the Rabbi a significant amount of money. A blessing? Or the start of something far more sinister? Can Rabbi Stone just accept the money and move on? His conscience says no. Step into his shoes as he travels all over Manhattan in his attempt to uncover the truth.

Features rabbinical conversation methods, a unique method of fighting, an original score, and three different endings!

Here is a review (which are Mostly Positive):

Great little adventure game, reminiscent of '80s and '90s classics. A dark comedy where a jaded rabbi becomes a film noir gumshoe to solve a murder - really, that original premise alone justifies the game's existence.

I'm sold.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Rocket League. The newly released hockey-mode is stellar.

It's my personal GOTY, you can play for 15 minutes and have a satisfying gaming experience. It's because of this game that my copies of GTAV, Mordor and Metal Gear are all collecting dust. In fact, everyone who doesn't have it already should just buy Rocket League and can safely ignore the rest of the sale.

This is the truth.

I play a TON of Rocket League still and I'm not too high on the hockey mode though. It's fun for a few games but lacks the deceiving depth of the standard modes. Basically, the aerial game is entirely gone, and it just becomes a back and forth of trying to slide the puck up the corners so it cruises right in front of the net. Corner play is important in standard too, but it's not the entire game -- plus there's some strategy at the speed and angle you bounce it in and out at. Hockey mode is just drive straight and hit it as hard as you can.

Still, love the entire game, one of my favorite games of the year and probably ever. Played over 520 games (and counting)...

And I find the same thing. Played Fallout 4 for 25 hours, sunk back in to Rocket League. Bought the FFXIV expansion, Rocket League every night instead. You can play for 20 minutes or 3 hours and just have a blast the whole time.

Hm, if there's 4 people that are considering Rocket League we should get the 4 pack.

Almost bought Total War: Attila. Looks like a good deal until you add up all the DLC and it's a full price game. Nothing else really interests me this year.

I'll never understand the popularity of Rocket League. Especially over AAA titles. It's like buying your cat a big scratching post and he just sits in the box it came in.
