Default Introducing: The 100% ground bacon burger

God Bless America...

Quote:
California burger chain Slater's 50/50 may be bringing home the bacon, now that its menu features a burger made of 100 percent ground bacon. Not to gild the lily, but the Fourth of July-inspired The 'Merica burger comes topped with a slice of thick-cut bacon, bacon island dressing, and bacon flavored cheddar cheese. It's only nonbacon topping is an impressive sunny-side-up egg.

Foodbeast notes that Slater's 50/50 has already made a name for itself by offering its flagship burger made of half ground beef and half ground bacon. Sadly, the three Slater's stores will only be offering the all-bacon burger through the end of July.

The month-long feature comes on the heels of previous burgers-of-the-month, including a Pulled Pork Burger and a Chili Cheese Frito Burger.

And if the bacon burger isn't enough for you, Slater's offers several other bacon-themed novelties, including a bacon brownie and the Bakon Mary, a twist on the Bloody Mary cocktail featuring bacon-infused vodka, a rim of bacon salt and a slice of thick-cut bacon as garnish.

Yes, because a chain nobody has ever heard of made a hamburger out of bacon the world is essentially saying pigs-=America.

You're absolutely correct.

What a pompous ass.

As amazing as this burger sounds, you have to admit you could only find it in the good ol' US of A. Enough said.

I seriously doubt that Canada is free of behemoth, unhealthy burger options.

This is no worse than the "Gripper" at tubby dog. Actually I'd say the gripper is probably more unhealthy.

Health issues aside, wouldn't that be just too damn salty to really enjoy?

It's no wonder we have an obesity thread. I wonder if every person eating these have disorders, emotional issues, and other health issues. *facepalm*

I thought we were talking about this bacon burger specifically, not burgers in general.

So it's really only a 50% bacon burger.

Too bad the bun is not also baked with bacon or bacon flavored.

Ya! They should dip the bun in beer, flour, and bacon grease, then deep fry that ungodly mother in more bacon grease.

Yeah, that whole epic meal time guys on the youtube, who glorify bacon and put it in all of their "recipes" are Canadian. I actually think putting bacon on everything seems like a Canadian thing.

True there are unhealthy options on both sides of the border, (and all over the world) but America is one fat ass country...

One quick Google search gave me this as the first link, other sites may rank it slightly differently

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/he...health-obesity

Ranked 1st at 30.6% of it's population as obese... USA.

Canada is actually ranked 11th at 14.3, or a little less than half the rate of the States.

So, really, commenting about the fat asses in America is really just calling a spade a spade. You can be as indignant as you want to be about it, but they really are doing SOMETHING (or many things) wrong down there. It's probably not as simple as a burger chain, but they are pretty fricken fat.

Mexico, UK, Slovakia, and Greece round out the top 5. The only one up there that surprises me is Slovakia. Also I did think Canada was ranked higher.
