Default iPhone App SDK for Windows

Does anyone know of or have experience with using a Windows-based tool to develop applications for the iPhone? I've done some searching and found mostly sketchy results about how pretty much all of the tools are unreliable for iOS development and only causes issues long term.

Does anyone have actual experience in this or am I going to have to find a Mac to develop on?

Find a Mac to develop on, some stuff in OSX development is annoying enough without having to throw trying to mess with it to work in Windows.

Two alternatives would be to run OSX in a virtual machine, or build a hackintosh.. in both cases though you'll probably end up spending enough time that buying a used Mac mini would probably have been cheaper.
