Where To Find Cheap Power Extension Cord
Hey all,
I'm installing a projector in my condo next weekend and it'll be on the ceiling (obviously) and like most stock projector's it's power cord is very short...so from that point in the ceiling I need to travel it along the ceiling to the opposite wall, any places where I can get a cheap long extension cord (preferably white/black in colour) to have it plug into the wall outlet or something?
Thanks!
Also any tips on how best to keep the cord attached to the ceiling and not dangling?

in before obligatory Jolinar reference...
Check the Tech forum. There's been a few projector threads in there lately that might have some useful info for you.

This thead will not end well. You'd almost have been better off asking for directions to the nearest Papa John's.

Since you are likely already in for a couple of hundred, why cheap out on an extension cord? Go to home depot and spend $20.........they also sell tracks with covers to hide cords.

Still ugly.
Buy a reno box, an outlet, some 14 gauge Romex, a wire fish, and put a proper outlet in where your projector is.

^ Warning: Even though these microwaves are about as harmful as the leakage from an ordinary microwave oven (not much), do not put computers, televisions, other sensitive electrical equipment, food, liquids, paper, glass, flammable substances, magnets, or living things in between the base and satellite units. Just in case.
to me having that unit sitting on your ceiling by the projector would be more obstrusive than the extension cord and cover.
Hulkrogans way is clearly the neatest - but since this is going in a condo I am trying to wrap my head around fishing the wire thru the ceiling, then making a 90 degree bend down a wall to an outlet to tie it all together.

I should actually get some of those...
Unless someone can come up with a better way to run a DVI-HDMI, USB, and various audio cables from my computer to my TV, in a rented apartment. (I also run component back to my computer, but that one's 35 ft so it follows the wall.)
