Flames totally shot themselves in the foot tonight. No show on the PP. Just awful. Can we please shake up the first unit at least? unable to capitalize on their chances( 3 posts ), and absoutely boneheaded defensive turnovers. Flames were sloppy tonight. Need to be better than this.

Johnson probably shouldn't see the ice again the rest of the season unless some of the later games become meaningless. It appears the moment Elliot seized the job he really lost confidence. I don't want to crap all over the guy because he was one of the few bright lights early in the season but I think we are now finding out why he doesn't stick anywhere. He played great in that December stretch when the team was out of it and the pressure was off but it seems like he can't perform the same in meaningful games.

As for the team it's too early to press the panic button but some bad habits are creeping back into their game. The horrendous passing is back and nonexistent powerplay of the first few months of the season are rearing their heads. The playoffs look safe for now but all of a sudden 8th spot is looking like a real possibility. Coaching staff really needs to sort out the 1st unit sooner than later because Brodie and Versteeg on the point hasn't worked for a long time.

I wouldn't mind seeing Wideman in against the Blues. He looked alright when he stepped in for an injured Stone. Sit Bartkowski for a game.

We knew they were gonna lose some games and face adversity. Better to work through it now. Pray for a good OOT and get to work saturday

Flames beat themselves tonight. Lots of sloppy passes, poor give aways and 0-5 on the PP.

An easy and deserved win by Nashville

Beating Avs gets you 2 points. Beating Nashville or St. Louis gives you two points and takes two away from them. I'll take those points all day

They tried to force too many passes through Nashville sticks tonight. Not sure if that was sloppy play or if Nashville had their number - either way wasn't a fantastic effort.

Well with 9 games left and 11 points up, the only thing I'm not sure you're right about in your post is saying that it's too early to hit the panic button after two losses in a row. That just doesn't seem right!

Tkachuk suspended for two games - the Flames suffer two losses. Coincidence? Me thinks not.

Roster-wise it'll be close but a coach with elite sense of desperation like Quennville will coach circles around Laissez-faire Glen.
