Ugh. I was hoping for at least updated versions of the modern jerseys (for NHL and AHL teams). The piping and flags both need to go. Awful.

I believe that will make us one of the only AHL affiliate teams to not wear the big club's logo on the shoulders. Just quickly looking up jerseys, all of the other ones have the NHL team logo on one shoulder (or both) and then another of their own on the opposite one.

Brutal. I won't be buying one, that's for sure. I already have a Flames jersey that looks like that. Don't need another.

Identical to the parent club...

I don't think it's really surprising since most AHL teams wear the same jersey template as their parent club (or one of the other standard Reebok templates), and there isn't currently a template for the white version of the retro jersey.

I knew it would be the same as the NHL team's jerseys, but part of me was hoping they would reveal some new designs this year. Similar to what St. Louis did, just fix what they already had.

Does anyone else have issues with broken links and all of the icons bunched together? This is how the site has been showing up for me all day.

No. A couple of the links were broken for me when they first went live, but everything seems to be good now.

Weird, that's how the site still shows up for me when I click on it even now. Maybe I need to clear some cookies or something.

Most likely will start in the ECHL.

This is absolutely wonderful news. He looked like a veteran in the net, albeit a boring, technically sound, non-flashy vetean.

He's going to be a real nice injury call-up if Ortio gets promoted/injured at any point.

The way Hiller goes down with with injuries I'm confident we will see Ortio in the NHL by Christmas. The guy just has horrible, horrible luck or something.

I also like the signing. The defence and team played a ton better in front of Carr then they did for Ortio most nights. He could also be a good call up if the guys get too comfortable with Orts back there getting everything. Little kick in the pants without completely sacrificing the net.

Looking at Carr's stats, he's already 25 which is kind of old for even a goalie turning pro. Still goalies are another breed and he was impressive last season for the Heat. We needed someone to replace Roy and he has some potential. I like it.

What other goalies will we have in Penticton? I take it McDonald will also be there.

It sort of looks like he was delayed going to college hockey and that's why he's only just turning pro. He played a bit in the US and then in Canada and it sort of looks like when he didn't catch on with a Canadian team, he opted to go to college to keep playing at 21.

He's got a few accolades in the College system:

2010-2011 NCAA (Hockey East) All-Academic Team
2011-2012 NCAA (Hockey East) Second All-Star Team
NCAA (New England) D1 All-Stars
NCAA (New England) Most Improved Player "Hines Award"
2012-2013 NCAA (Hockey East) Champion
NCAA (Hockey East) Reg. Season Champion

Found some other info on him for those who might not be familiar:

I'd imagine the Penticton goalies are Carr, Mancina and McDonald.

If I remember right, he's an undrafted 18 year old from the OHL, which I think means we could sign him.

Couldn't be more disappointed in the A-Flames jerseys.

Especially with teams like Binghamton offering their own flavour of Ottawa's boring jersey:

It would have been cool to see what the Adirondack designers did with the Flames jersey.
