It's on Naramata Bench which is great for wine and relatively close to Penticton for everything else.

If you stay anywhere around there, I recommend getting the Uride app (similar to Uber) as it was a pain getting a cab and Uber/Lyft seem to not be used in that area.
That was one of the ones on my list!

Also, thanks for the Uride suggestion.

We ended up booking the Crooked Tree guest suites in Penticton. Not at the winery, but close and the reviews and pictures look amazing. The winery options were quite limited and just didn't fit with our schedule. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

Nice! Good choice!!

You’re about halfway between Penticton and Naramata, up the hill. You’re right in line with the biking trails and the pump track, Abandoned Rail
brewing and lots of good wineries. Consider bringing your bikes if it’s the right time of year.

Do check out Lock & Worth with Poplar Grove Cheese. Creek & Gully Cider is amazing, too. Grab some snacks there and do a picnic hike on Munson Mountain or Naramata Falls.

Eat dinner once at Hillside Bistro. Rooftop for sunset if possible.

I always recommend going into Naramata to get a tasting at Nichol - the vintner there is also behind Lock & Worth so you can say I’m a fanboy. The farmer market at Manitou should run on Wednesdays, it’s the best and most chill market in the area if you ask me. Very good date with the missus.

Word to the wise - three mile beach is near you, and is a nude beach. The aforementioned Manitou beach in Naramata or Skaha Beach in Penticton are great family friendly options if you’re not into free and easy living LOL

Second the Hillside Bistro rooftop for sunset, so good.

For staying at wineries Burrowing Owl and Black Hills are my two favourite. They are both in Oliver.

I like Naramata better for the views and pace of life. I haven't stayed at any wineries there, but I did buy a place in the region. My friend stayed at Bench d'Or in Naramata and loved it.

I have lots of friends who stay at Sparkling Hill, but I don't think it's a winery. Just a resort and spa.

Just book a cheap motel next to a liquor store and you're 90% there.

But that is alcoholism, if you go to a winery its way more acceptable.

"I like the fruity bouquet of this Pinot Noir! Now pass the box back over!!"

Used to be called Champagne Hill until the French got all snooty about it.

When tasting, remember there are no wrong answers.

Recommend the “Somm” documentaries. Amazing what goes into becoming a master sommelier.

Maya: You know, can I ask you a personal question, Miles?
Miles Raymond: Sure.
Maya: Why are you so in to Pinot?
Miles Raymond: [laughs softly]
Maya: I mean, it's like a thing with you.
Miles Raymond: [continues laughing softly]
Miles Raymond: Uh, I don't know, I don't know. Um, it's a hard grape to grow, as you know. Right? It's uh, it's thin-skinned, temperamental, ripens early. It's, you know, it's not a survivor like Cabernet, which can just grow anywhere and uh, thrive even when it's neglected. No, Pinot needs constant care and attention. You know? And in fact it can only grow in these really specific, little, tucked away corners of the world. And, and only the most patient and nurturing of growers can do it, really. Only somebody who really takes the time to understand Pinot's potential can then coax it into its fullest expression. Then, I mean, oh its flavors, they're just the most haunting and brilliant and thrilling and subtle and... ancient on the planet.

Haha, yes, I saw that in some of the earlier info that was recommended. Probably give that one a pass!
