WestJet's 100th 737NG is on its way to YYC. It'll be here just after 5pm today. Not the special livery I was hoping for, but it has a twitter hashtag to set it apart.
A friend just posted a pic of him doing his walkaround on this jet, it had 9 hrs on it when he flew it.
Yup, they are pretty close. However I do like how the Air Berlin Red continues to run on the entire bottom length of the aircraft. You can't see it in my photo but they also have 'Air Berlin' on the underside. Kind of a neat touch.
There is a thread over at airliners.net about the British Airways 787's and what routes we'll see them on. It appears as though the initial 787 deliveries will be replacing the long haul 767-300 routes they currently operate. That means that YYC stands a very good chance off seeing the 787 here serving the LHR in the next couple of years!
Edit: A poster over there has noticed the timetables for the summer 2013 BA service to indicate faster flight times, which would be in line with the 787 being operated:

The changes show a drop in flight time from mid July (Westbound from 9 hrs 15 mins to 8 hrs 45 mins / Eastbound 8 hrs 55 mins to 8 hrs 15 mins ) however not yet to the aircraft type. This change would indicate a yet to be announced change to the operating aircraft.
The 787's cruising speed will be faster than the 767 and the configuration of the 787 would fit the YYC route well.

For BA it seems like a lot of F/J seats for the Calgary market.
I dont know their numbers but I have heard the mid and back are filled and its the front that is problematic.
6ish more F/J seems like a 20% increase over what they currently offer. I wonder if they will have a V2. If YYC does get the 787 first then it gives you a good idea of the type of yield they have in the front cabin.
