Are these places just for adults?
My kids (10 & 15) want me to take them, as they play these "escape" games on their ipads, but I'm thinking it might be to creepy/scary for kids.

Red Cabin right? it was like everyone taking 25 bucks out of their pocket and simultaneously lighting them on fire.

It's awesome with kids. I've taken mine (9 & 13) to the locked room twice. We did Forbidden Temple and Lair of the Minotaur. Mutiny on the high seas would be fine too.

Depends on the theme you choose. There are a few that aren't scary at all. Kids can work well with older individuals too. Sometimes as adults, we over think the clues. I wouldn't send a group of 10-15 year olds into an escape room without supervision though. It'd probably be too hard in that way.

No I don't think so, or I'm sure one of em would've piped up. Maybe ours was more bush league than I realized..

Getting stuck and timing out would suck for sure. The hints options that are given now help immensely for everyone to have fun.

When I played Dreamweaver, I think the admin said that the fastest team to beat the room with the fewest hints still required 3 hints to beat the room.

I've never been to that one, but the website seems to mention difficulties and scare factor. Perhaps it's worth phoning them and asking?

If your kids are into detective themes try the Spies & Lies room would be perfect for them. Its not a scary room at all and some of the puzzles are pretty neat.

The decoration is top notch there too.

That's probably the least creepy scary for the kids out of the 3 of them.

Exit on 17th has a rooms good for kids, the Ninja room & Egypt is pretty tame.
