Foo yeah!

Glad he isn't a Buf-Foo-n.

And Ah Foo, I sneezed.

There, I am done.

It is nice to 'win' one of these now and then. Hopefully he really develops in Calgary.

He'll be in Stockton.

You gotta think that the relationships the Flames build at development camps with these players really payoff.

Get the foo out of here...

...is what I would have said if he would have signed with Edmonton.

Those paid scribes up North must be upset. All of them were convinced he would sign with the Oilers.

Kid scored better than notable hyped prospects Caggiula, Hyman or Vesey in each of their final years in college, not to mention he's 6'0 180lbs, so not undersized in the slightest.. And being a RHS RW doesn't hurt

Quote:
“He’s greasy,” Starman said. “He just does a lot of little things that are fun to watch. He’s got electric speed, hands, guts. He’s not afraid to try something difficult. He’s been good. He’s just fun to watch and he plays with an edge.”

“That consistency has been very important because it has allowed the younger players to see that through consistency breeds success,” Union coach Rick Bennett said. “Spencer is one of the hardest workers in practice each day. Hopefully, that resonates throughout the year and when he moves on. My hope is that my younger players emulate his work ethic and consistency.”- Joshua Seguin www.collegehockeynews.com

He's on the team. Rumor is he wanted a guaranteed spot in the lineup rather than in the minors. Edmonton told him he would most likely be in the AHL so they were told they were out.

Very similar to Versteeg last year (Edmonton never guaranteed him a spot). Had they have, they would have signed him but in both cases they didn't so both players signed with the Flames.

He and his linemate Vecchione dominated the ECAC div 1.

Vecchione and Foo had 63 and 62 points respectively through 38 games.

Skimming the other 11 teams in their div, the next highest point getter was Tyler Moy and Alexander Kerfoot of Harvard, both with 45. Most teams' leaders were in the 25-35 point range.

If I recall, he's willing to play a year in the AHL if needed

Matheson especially... he was almost in complete denial that the Flames were even in consideration.
