Gaudreau, purely based on him getting the majority of his points at home.

Monahan and it really isn't close, and that's going by the definition of overrated so not saying he sucks or anything but his 2 way game might be the most over rated in the league.
Great player but overrated defensively.

I think in general, the CP community overrates most of the entire Flames system
From how we speak, you'd think the Flames would have been a much better team over the past 20 years.

No one is over the top overrated but have to say Dougie Hamilton for now if had to pick someone.
Dougie can still be a liability out there defensively and his offense is streaky.
If he could push more people around and use his skating more in O-zone he would meet or exceed the high expectations for him on CP.
Some of the rushes in the offensive zone with a quick shot are tremendous. Just dont see them often.
Of course we dont have a true 4 D-man for him to work with. Just a bunch of 5-6-7s. Kulak is beginning to look like he could be Brodie lite as 4 D-man with time. Kylington is the other. Kevin is more suited as a 5-6.

Yeah, but bashing reasonable threads on a casual forum is also ridiculous.
All of CP's content can't be sunshine and daisies. And we're not the media, we don't have to be level-headed and positive.

Saying a player is overrated is not bashing, how don't people get this?

How exactly is he overrated? No one is saying he's as good defensively as Bergeron. The universal consensus seems to be that he's alright, but needs to get better at it. Everyone says there are things he is good at, but things he can improve on. Slowly but surely, he is.
I've never heard of anyone expecting him to be PPG. Nobody I know thinks he's going to be the next Getzlaf. So how exactly is he overrated? Seems to me you have unrealistic expectations of him. Because he hasn't met that yet, that somehow makes him ''overrated''.

We're 2 weeks in. They are in the AHL. Not everyone is going to be in the NHL right away without playing in the A. I'm still pretty big on a lot of our prospects.

There are some good prospects, and no doubt they are still prospects, but this summer there were proclamations that the Flames have one of the best prospect pools in the league. Over-rated by many on CP I say.

One of them just scored the game tying goal and had 2 huge hits in the last game.

This summer? That's a 365 type of thing. CP is a hot bed of under-rating any veteran player and explaining that said veteran can easily be improved upon by some completely unproven and not even close to ready prospect on the farm.
So in the sense that if your point is CP in general overrated all of our prospects then I'd say your bang on, if what you mean our prospects are overrated league wide then us say no.

I'd have to go with Bouma. Not that I think he's bad but I don't think he'll ever get back to the way he played two years ago.
