When a questioner said some might call what Clovis' words extreme -- comparing the approval of same-sex protections to allowing pedophilia. Clovis said it was "logical."
"I don't think it's extreme," said Clovis. "I think it's a logical extension of thought. And if you cannot follow the logic then you're denying your in denial."
In the same blog post, Clovis said religious freedom meant business should be able to not hire LGBT people if it conflicted with their religious belief.

There isn't a middle finger in the world big enough for this man to rotate upon.

If there's one thing Trump knows better than anything, it's how to bankrupt things. Though his usual strategy of simply not paying people probably isn't the best approach here.
USA Today also reported that the Secret Service has shelled out $60,000 for golf-cart rentals alone this year in order to keep up with the golfer in chief.
man, just a few years ago, all you would hear is Trump bitching about Obama holidays or golfing outings...what a GD hypocrite...

Norman Lear produced some of the most influential television in history. Both Ritchie and Estefan have sold over 100 million records in their respective careers.
And LL Cool J once killed a shark with a lighter.

"You have no idea how much crazy stuff we kill": The most common response centers on the urgent importance of having smart, sane people around Trump to fight his worst impulses. If they weren't there, they say, we would have a trade war with China, massive deportations, and a government shutdown to force construction of a Southern wall.
This is the scariest thing I've heard yet about Trump. Axios is more plugged in to that administration than any other news service. I have no doubt they are completely serious those three things would be happening were it not for a few people in the White House.

Maybe, or they could just be saying that to rationalize staying for Trump just because it's good for their careers. I think if people were so concerned about the crazy stuff they kill, they'd be leaking that crazy stuff. Or standing up and going on the record about stuff. If one after another Trump's staff fell on a sword regarding some crazy scheme that otherwise never saw the light of day people would have to take notice.

But certainty is an absurd one.
I think it's most likely a combination of a bunch of things, like that Axios article says. Basically:
1. Keep Trump and rookies/neophytes from doing anything too stupid.
2. Reluctance to abandon colleagues such as Mattis.
3. Trump isn't that bad in person, face-to-face.
4. We like the power.
For each person that ranking of priorities is probably different, and there might be one or two pet-projects that are on each person's radar, but I could see myself in that situation. How many of us have stuck around at a terrible job with a terrible company because the people we work with day-to-day need us? That alone is a powerful motivator.

How could anything be more crazy than his current statements. You can't impeach based on policy and if there was the political will to 25th or impeach it would have been done already.
So hanging around serving the country to do the best they can do makes sense.
