Hey all,
The gang over at FlamesNation - of which I am one - are spear-heading a cool fund-raiser tonight during the Flames/Canucks game.
It's called Money on the Board. You pick a player. You pick an in-game event - ideally something that happens relatively frequently. You pick a pledge level you're comfortable with. You watch the game. You trash-talk Canucks fans. At the end of the game, we tally up your in-game event and your pledge level, we send you an e-mail with the pledge amount, and you make a direct donation to Kids Up Front Calgary - a local charity that connects deserving kids with tickets to really cool events that they otherwise wouldn't be able to attend.
There's more details here, particularly about the charity.

We'll be doing a few of these this year and we're really excited about them. So check out the links and pledge what you can. It'll make for a fun night of hockey (and an opportunity to tease Canucks fans), and you'll make a big, direct difference in your community.
