Not saying they should, but there's a chance they could hire Randy Carlyle. For...reasons...
But Boudreau would be my vote by a fairly large margin.

Of the guys listed, Mike Yeo. I'm not a Boudreau fan. With the caveat being that I wouldn't have considered myself a Hartley fan either before he was hired.

That is not a list that inspires confidence
Bruce is the best of a poor pool of candidates

No one on this list. Boudreau will beat the fun out of Johnny and Monahan.

Posted this in the other thread too, but Boudreau has the second highest winning % of any coach to coach over 100 games. Not just in the modern era, but the entire history of the league.
I want him.
If the Wild or Sens nab him first hopefully Hitchcock becomes available. Those are the only two proven coaches I'd want, if it's not one of them, grab one of the budding guys from the AHL.
Whatever happens, I'm confident in Treliving.

If that's the list, it's Boudreau all the way. At least he has regular season success. The rest of those coaches will be lucky to get another head coaching job in the NHL.

Just to clarify, Bob is a hard ass. Boudreau is known as a "player's coach" - i.e. guys like him. It's the usual pattern in the NHL - switch back and forth between a player guy and a hard ass. So, logically, BB fits the pattern for us.

I don't think Carlyle is as bad as people seem to think. Just the usual 'didn't find success in Toronto, therefore he sucks' stuff, just like Burke
That said...... Nah

I hope it's someone that coaches exciting hockey and is a wiz (or his coaching team is) with specialty teams.
Maybe Washington Boudreau as opposed to Anaheim Boudreau.

Boudreau is my pick. Rather him than Carlye or Crawford. I wonder if there is a young coach out there they are looking at in the AHL, CHL, or NCAA?
My thoughts are they fired Bob today so they could scoop up Boudreau

The nice thing I've seen with Boudreau (and also the bigggest thing I disliked with Hartley's system)is he adapts. I don't think he'd come to a team and force them to play a trap, he goes with the teams strengths. He adapted a trap last season because his team forgot how to score. Hopefully not the case here. Like you put it, hopefully we'd see more of what he did in Washington.

I would have to think that we find out this week. I really hope that they didn't show Bob the door without a clearcut 'we need him' ready to put ink to paper.

This is exactly right - hockey talk panelists gave him a lot of love for that this season as I recall. It's why his dismissal was a surprise.

Boudreau is the only non-horrifying option for me
Would love to see a completely off-the-board pick. The recycled coach carousel gets a little old

From that list, Boudreau is the only one I would even consider.
