Perfect. Lets do it. If we're going to get our asses kicked we may as well make it bad news for everyone else while we're at it.
This was the Flames of the last two years. They went balls out because they knew they weren't going to win and they at least wanted the other team to come out bruised on the other side. You might beat us but you were going to get bloodied either way. It made for entertaining hockey and that was the whole "never quit" culture.
Then they started winning, and now they think they're the Harlem Globetrotters or something.

Then you do what every coach tells his team to do when they're in a rut, you get back to basics. Nothing is more basic than face-smashing.
Speaking of which, when do we play Columbus?

I wish someone in the media had the balls to ask how he keeps getting playing time. They call Canada a pressure cooker for hockey players but the media throws such softball BS questions at them that the notion of anyone being "chased out of town" baffles me.
If this was Manchester and Wideman played for United then a) His play would be front page news and b) he would probably be dead by now.
Hartley needs to go.

Flames are done as far as the playoffs are concerned unless they do a Minnesota turn around which isn't likely... so.... I at least expect to be entertained win or lose...And if you aren't going to make the playoffs then entertain me and lose enough to get a shot at a low first round pick.. I don't think that's too much to ask if we are being asked to suffer this year

Ovi is most prolific against the Flames and Ducks. It would certainly be a coup to shut him down.

There is no reason not to expect the flames to come out of this one with a win.
- Back to the other team taking the softly
- Unlike Fla or TB, the caps are just skilled but really not fighting or desperate
- As if you don't get up to play the likes of Crosby or Ovechkin if you are a kid like many of the flames are
- Just played last night with little time to for defeat to soak in... I personally believe back to back excuses are a cliche and in reality, these are well conditioned atheletes who would prefer to get right back out there after playing good enough to win but losing. You can't tell me guys like Gio and Wideman don't want to get right back out and forget their terrible game or guys like Johny who have endless energy or Ferland and Bollig who have seen little game time lately!
GO FLAMES..... This game is my make or break in believing in playoffs. If we lose, I can go back to just being a fan of the flames and the bright future. If we win, I will go back to thinking a 6 game win streak is possible!
