10,000 square feet is dedicated in the new facility to the Pinball Hall of Fame, where the entire family can enjoy non-violent pinball arcade games for small dinero. All machines are available for play, so not only can you see them, you can actually play your old favorites. The pinball machines are all restored to like-new playing condition by people that love pinball and understand how a machine should work. All older pinballs are set to 25 cents per play, and newer 1990s models are set to 50 cents per play.
Every single game was in service and in great shape except the row of video games sitting by the back garage door. They just came in and no one had a chance to look them over yet.
The new Stern pinballs were 50 cents but all of the old games were a single quarter.
The operator of the place pays for rent and electricity then donates the rest of the money straight to the Salvation Army. Wish I would have given myself more time, fascinating reading the info cards on all the old games from the 40s and 50s.

Not really. Drinking and gambling can be done anywhere and there are other places higher up on my 'to go' list. In fact, the only things I'd go to Vegas for are this and Cirque.

It's too bright for one thing. Just a few small touches of ambience would do it a hell of a lot of good. This small town arcade museum did a good job on a shoestring budget. The walls still need faux wood panelling or tacky wallpaper all the way though. And the carpet needs to be burgandy.

We have a picture of my wife sitting in the command chair on the bridge of the 1701-D from there. It's a full sized mock-up.

I've been planning to go back just to see that place.
I must have walked by Olympic on 17th a hundred times but have never gone in, I thought it was all pool tables and a bar. Do they actually have any games in there?
Will have to check out the Go-Kart place but I imagine they're closed for the season by now.
