Has the US Open ever had decent tv coverage? I wasn't a fan of the Chris Berman/ESPN coverage either.

It seems that with good, fair major setups, the top players will gravitate to the top of the leaderboard. It seems this year's layout was a failure in terms of being a fair test of golf.

Lpga course completely waterlogged yesterday. A par 4 was made into a 120 yard par 3 because the fairway was flooded.

Brook Henderson leading by 1 with 6 holes to play. It's on the golf channel now if you want to watch

19 year old Brooke Henderson in the clubhouse with a 2 shot lead.

Only Lexi Thomson in the group behind can catch her. And Thomson plays to the middle of the green.

Brooke gets her first win of the year and 4th of her career. Does it with a bogey free round with a leaderboard packed with the big names.

Post round interview gives honest answers on clutch putts and tough course conditions. She's awesome. So composed and genuine in her answers.

We're so lucky that she's Canadian.

I put money down on Koepka at the start of the tournament...so I'm watching intensely.

The USGA needs to wake up

Erin Hills got spanked, the only thing that could make this course tough was wind and they didn't get enough of it. 30 players under par, 7 or 8 in double digits is not US Open golf.

Ma Nature had a thing to say about the scores. This has nothing to do with the USGA or the course.

Well courses are set for the next nine years and only one new course will be played, which is LA Country Club. So lots of familiar (and difficult) courses coming up.

Shinnecock
Pebble Beach
Winged Foot
Torrey Pines
Brookline Country Club
LA Country Club
Pinehurst
Oakmont
Shinnecock

A US Open course should be set up as close to unfair as possible and make it easier if need be, to blame low scores on good weather is ridiculous.

How are soft greens from an inch of rain and no wind on Saturday the USGAs fault?!

Get a grip.

By Saturday who cares, after Thursdays scores of 65's and 66's it was apparent this course needed 30 mph winds or it was a US Open dud.

Get a grip indeed.

Can't wait for Shinnecock, it's a course the USGA or mother nature can't tame.

I have no problem with a low scoring US Open every once in a while. Most of the time the courses are set up to be way too over the top difficult.

I think the cream of the crop should rise to the top of the leaderboard of a US Open. I'm fine with regular tour tourneys having no-name winners but only the best should rise to compete in majors. It's what made pro golf popular afterall.

No offence to the players but a top 5 consisting of:

1) Brooks Koepka
2) Hideki Matsuyama
3) Brian Harman
4) Tommy Fleetwood
5) Xander Schauffele

Does nothing for me or likely the sport at all, in a month most people couldn't name the winner let alone any of the top 5. Outside of a boring but great player in Matsuyama did anyone cheer these players on?

When the biggest star in the hunt was Rickie Fowler you had to know this tourney was in big trouble.

How does a harder course help the best players rise to the top? It's golf, whoever plays best that weekend wins, no matter what the course. If the Open was played under more difficult conditions Keopka still wins, it's just with a -4 instead of a -16. For whatever reason the star players struggled this weekend, even under easy conditions, and they would have struggled even more on a tougher course.

If anything a harder US Open course hurts the better players and produces surprises as luck plays a much bigger role. Plenty of no names have won recently and plenty of stars have failed to win. Phil Mickelson for example has won the Masters, the major with the easiest conditions, three times yet has never won the US Open.

I find it comical that you want "the best to rise to the top" when the top 3 in the world couldn't make the cut?

For a casual pro golf fan, the US open was just not that compelling this year. Part of that is that the course was just too easy and the threat of bogey or big scores was not that present. Yes it's partially due to conditions but this course and its setup was not typical USGA fare. Too bad - it looked nice.

I'm stunned.

Wonder what the back story is... There was some awkwardness at The Players this year.

How many minutes does Bones go without having a new player?

Does it hit 15 minutes?
