Oh goody I stumble into this thread just in time for my vacant buildings check tomorrow one of which was a mental health building filled with two way mirrors and other fun stuff. Gives me the creeps I pretty much just run through that building.
That stuff is creepy. I'd love to photograph those old buildings one day.
The CIA declassified hundreds of documents in 1978 detailing the Agency’s investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). The documents date primarily from the late 1940s and 1950s.
As the Apollo 10 astronauts’ journey took them around the far side of the moon, the space explorers heard what they described as “outer space type” music, recently declassified transcripts revealed.
The Science Channel series ‘NASA’s Unexplained Files” took a closer look into the sounds the astronauts heard as they lost radio contact during their trip around the moon.
“It’s about an hour on the backside of the moon, away from earth where you lose radio contact,” Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot Al Worden said in the episode.
As Apollo 10 made its way around to the far side of the moon, the astronauts lost radio contact, and began hearing the strange sounds.
“Sounds like, you know, outer-space type music,” one of the astronauts can be heard saying in a NASA recording.
I read an article last week that explained it. About 10 years ago much more floatable athletic shoes came on the market. Before when someone drowned, everything stayed in the bottom. Now some feet float to the surface.
All three tv's in my house turned on at the same time at 5am today when a helicopter flew over. Anyone know why? I did the customary robe clad fist shake on the driveway. But id like to know what happened.
IIRC, foul play was not suspected in any case where a foot was identified.
Quote:
After the first two feet — both right — were found in British Columbia just six days apart from one another, locals began sounding the alarm, and authorities expressed equal surprise.
“Two being found in such a short period of time is quite suspicious,” Cpl. Garry Cox of the Oceanside Royal Canadian Mounted Police told the Vancouver Sun in August 2007.
“Finding one foot is like a million to one odds,” Cox said, “but to find two is crazy. I’ve heard of dancers with two left feet, but come on.”
That seems kind of dark for a police officer to say after finding human body parts.
