has anyone looked into Sportsnet subscription? Does that allow you to watch out of market games? Have a place in Windermere, and would love to be able to use a smart tv to watch Flames games this winter.

Windermere is in the Sportsnet Pacific area and therefore regional Flames games will not be seen on the West channel. Those games can only be seen with NHL Centre Ice.

What I've always thought, ... but was sure I saw some sort of web access membership to Sportsnet that gives you out of market option.

I cannot find that option. I do know that being in the Sportsnet Pacific area, the Canucks did do some Sportsnet games online from the Canucks website. That was a subscription based option in 2010 and I think in 2011 as well.

Part of the new Sportsnet deal is that regional games shown on Wednesdays, Sundays and the occasional Saturday will no longer be blacked out in other areas of the country.

That is correct. All Sportsnet games will be nationally televised on various channels. The other four days will be on regionally. Afternoon weekend games can still be televised on TSN regionally.

The Flames crew has the Sylvan Lake game. The other two are the Canucks crew.

Currently have the Canucks-Sharks game on SN 360 right now. Presentation looks the same.
New graphics and sound probably won't debut until season opener.

The same will happen on Sat. Oct. 4 against the Jets. Both are TSN Jets games and will have the Jets announcers.

Default Sportsnet F

Ok so now we have the TV schedule for the season. Seven of the games are listed as Sportsnet F. Can someone tell me what channel that might be Perhaps Sportsnet 360? And for that matter city TV, does this have another alias?
I'm on Telus Optik TV in Calgary.
Last question, anyone have software that will auto mute Kypreos and Doug Maclean

Sportsnet F is Sportsnet Flames, the secondary regional Sportsnet West channel.

Am I making the correct assumption here? :

Nationally Available:
SN, SN360, SN1, HNIC/CBC

Regionally Available:
SNW, SNF

Where does City TV fall into the mix? National or regional?

I have a friend who is a Flames fan exiled in Kamloops, so I think that he would be able to get the national games (obviously), but the regional ones would require Centre Ice or Game Centre as they always have. Or, more likely, the generous use of my Slingbox.

City TV is nationally available when the games are on Saturday and Sunday.

The only exception is that there are five Habs games on City Montreal that are regional games. Those games are on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
