I was wondering about that too.

I am thinking she'll be raped (implied) and beaten (shown) and Glenn will have to listen and/or watch as per the comics. He'll give up the prison as a result.

Ya, the rape scene played such a huge part in the comics and really set the tone for the events that followed. I can't see them not having at least some form of severe molestation/violation on the part of the Governor.
In the comics I could not stand him, every time I saw him my blood boiled. In the show I mildly dislike him, if that. They need to make me hate him more.

^^^ That's unfortunate, because the Governor is now getting his sexual jollies from Andrea. Perhaps if he was deprived for a while he'd find that effective, but, then again, it's a constant focus on how well the TV show follows the comic series.

It feels like they've taken some of the Governor's darker elements from the comics and given them to Merle. Also, Merle has a grudge against Glenn for leaving him to die in Atlanta, so if he finds out that Maggie and Glenn are a couple, I could see them have Merle be the rapist.

I wonder if the Governor sired the children he mentioned earlier a few episodes back to Michonne and Andrea.

Didn't T-Dog leave him behind in the TV show?

T-Dog dropped the handcuff key. I think it was him, Glen and Rick that left him there.

there are also rumors the guy from episode 1 that helped Rick (who's name I am drawing a blank on right now) will return this season as well, but possibly not in the same area (his own plotline maybe?)

Morgan, I'm pretty sure those rumours were confirmed as well.
I bet it will be like in the comics when they go back to Rick's old police station to get guns and ammo.

In the comics they meet up with him again in Rick's hometown, if I remember correctly. But his son has been zombified.

Right I totally forgot about that, he is supposed to go in and shoot his son (Rick gives him the gun) but instead he just shoots the chain doesn't he? To let his son roam free.
I am pretty sure he is quite crazy when they find him but slowly regains his composure, ends up hooking up with Michonne too. He lasts for a while with the group.

Just watched last weeks episode, I guess that puts an end to the rape theories.
I am happy they left that out, just the fact that he made her realize she was 100% at his mercy was enough of a message to soften her up. Then pulling her infront of Glen was the icing on the cake.
I still want someone to nail his penis to a board though.

I am wondering if Merle plays the role of Martinez come February? The Governor knows Merle lied about Michonne, so to make amends he "helps" Daryl and Rick escape back to the prison. Then he becomes the Governors inside man.
In the comics Martinez "helps" so he can find out where the prison is. In the show Phillip already knows where the prison is...he just needs to know how many people and how well they are armed.

Interesting...
Quote:
Fans of the source material were excited to see Tyreese appear in the midseason finale, and Mazzara teased, “There’s still a major character to appear in the back half, which is very exciting.” However, as evidenced by the deaths so far, the showrunner urged viewers not to get too comfortable.

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.. been a while since I read that far back.. could it be Rick's neighbour?

I'd love to see Morgan show up again...I liked the fellow they cast for it in Season 1 and it'd be interesting to see how they would have evolved his characted in the year (give or take) since Rick would last have seen him.

well they don't really follow the comic timeline very closely, so it could be Abraham and his group

Ahh I never thought about that.. would be good timing as they could use some more firepower against the Governor's men.
