####, I hate how Hulu can't be seen outside the States. I'd say I'll just wait till it lands on Youtube, but its NBC, the great youtube hater. Hopefully it shows up somewhere, would like to see that appearance on the old show.

And it looks like Conan is growing the beard back. AWESOME!

What has been the missing ingredient for Conan? I say NYC. He is back in NYC all this week, and the show has way more juice. The band had a blast Monday doing The Boys Are Back In Town, with Reggie Watts.
^^
Do you think its an F-U, or a sign that they're starting to patch things up? Just between Conan coming on Fallon's set to get Triumph (which he probably needed NBC's go-ahead for both), to Fallon coming on his, to the Masterbating Bear, I'd say things are starting to smooth over between Conebone and NBC.
Speaking of which, I was already jacked when I found out Triumph was on tonight, I had no idea Louis CK was too. Solid, solid line-up tonight. Between that, Flames/Wings, and new Parks & Rec and The League, looks like I'll be putting some good work in on the ass-groove tonight.
I have no idea if it's a matter of "patching" things up or maybe the contract agreement to NOT use such intellectual properties has ended. Either way, it's great for the viewer.
Maybe that's what all this is. A certain amount of time has passed, in which Conan couldn't use certain intellectual properties, and he's celebrating by going back to where it all started.
Ya hard to say, agreed either way things are working out for us.
And just have to agree with whats been mentioned above in this page, how Conan seems so much happier back in NYC. Something's been just off about him lately (before this week), I know he's mentioned in the past he's kind of a depressive guy, I seriously am starting to wonder if he's just getting depressed out West. He certainly isn't a "West coast" guy, probably feels like an alien out there.
I forget when it was or who the guest was (someone with an M.D. anyway), but the guest made a reference to how Conan was talking to him backstage about hating it in L.A., to which Conan looked embarassed that it came out on T.V. and the subject was quickly changed. I bet he's just dying to come home (though it may be out of the question, after getting his entire crew to up & move their families across country).
Either way I hope it can happen, for the good of not only him, but the viewer too.
Conan going on the Today show in a disguise was awesome. I wish they have extended that but a little bit.

Just watching last nights episode... the "original" 1982 cast of Cats was but-gusting hilarious. The one crazy old lady crawling into the audience.. then the one lady coming out on the scooter.. I totally lost it.
Conan, and his staff, seem rejuvenated by New York. Please Conan and TBS, go back.

He has to cut down on his monologue, and do more of the out of studio stuff. I fast forward the entire monologue nowadays unless I see that he's got something going on. And more visits by Ted Turner please.

Conan's strength has always been the remote pieces, when he gets out of the studio he is at his best.
Watching him at the Pizza shop now, totally losing it with laughter.

That's the thing isn't it, when he first got the tonight show, he tried doing some remotes, but they just didn't work in L.A., so he stopped doing them - no one is out and about there, unlike New York, where everyone is out walking around.
It's been a great week, feels like an old friend I haven't seen in a long time.

Even the things he does in the office are good. Like that one from the other week with the secret email list for food in the boardroom. That was awesome.

Is Conan comfortable with going back to NBC characters and bits now?
Ya I was mentioning a little earlier in this thread about how he & NBC must be patching things up for him to be allowed to do all this stuff, not to mention going on Fallon, showing bits of the Today Show, etc.
But I just thought of something. This week is literally the 1 year anniversary of the start of Conan's new show. Maybe the deal was Conan couldn't use any of his stuff for a year. Seems a little strange, but I can't help but notice the timing.
Whatever the reason, I'm happy about the result. Haven't watched yesterday's yet, can't wait to check er out on the PVR. Almost lost in all this, Louis CK's on!

Yeah I caught Conan yesterday since this thread was hyping him so much this week, and he definitely delivered. Worth staying up 'til 2 to watch heh. It was really awesome seeing Triumph again. I was a huge fan of the protest signs for the Wall Street stock brokers. "Wifi in Limos" lol.
I was also curious to see how the wedding was gonna work out, especially in front of an audience on a talk show. Seemed like it would be touchy ground. But the wedding was really nice, and the jokes were appropriate. Plus what better way to end a wedding by riding on the back of a bull being towed by Ted Turner?? lol
