It was especially funny when the 60 year old guy who was super quiet and had a very thick Chinese accent would call him that.

I had this buddy who was a fireman in Calgary who was risk-averse to an insane degree. A bit odd given his profession, but I always made fun of him for being a helicopter parent. We had a long discussion about the midway rides at the stampede where I was laughing at him for being a total wuss. The very next day he actually doing a shift at the stampede when that ride broke and nearly killed a bunch of people. He didn't even give me a "told you so", which I totally deserved.
