So maybe a 5 min talk, at most? If he's learned anything, he sure hasn't applied it!

The $200 would be worth it just to throw a jersey on stage.

They could have sold more tickets to a "who wants to eat crow with Lowe" and followed up the main course with Lowe apologizing to the fans for the series of blunders and idiotic statements over the past few years.

You'd think they would pick a different date as well - Sept 11?

We should all pitch in to send a CP member there to tell him what an awesome job he's doing and to stay the course.

If we do up a kick starter for this, you'll go when we hit our $400 goal by dinner?

We should raise money for someone to go throw a jersey on the stage.
Of course video of this would have to exist.

Wow. It's like the dream team of suck. Hard hitting, cutting edge journalistic excellence at its finest with Lowe feeding off of slow pitches from the high priest of the Oilers delusion. I can see it now:
Bob Stauffer: "The dynasty that you helped forge here in Edmonton really is a credit to your legacy, and a testament to the untouchable transcendence of the Oilers as the greatest sports franchise in the history of, uh ... sports. But tell us, Mr. Lowe, do you ever sometimes feel guilty or maybe a twinge of regret for the inevitable cycle that followed. I mean, you said it yourself: the team had so much success in the eighties that it tipped the hand of cosmic hockey forces, and ultimately resulted in an over twenty-year championship drought."
Bob Stauffer: "Now, we all know about the six rings, but can you maybe speak a little bit more to how many more rings that is than anyone else in hockey? How much credit do you assign to each ring for your obvious managerial excellence, and the certain success to follow in the next few seasons?"
Bob Stauffer: "Mr. Lowe, we all know it is not a matter of when the Oilers win a cup, but rather how many. Can you maybe say a little bit about how meaningful these next several championships will be for this city, and how they compare to the past successes?"
Bob Stauffer: "Of course, it is no secret that more than half the teams in the NHL were ready and willing to trade their rosters for yours a year ago, but how many more teams are there now who are willing to do the same?"

Surf and Turf. How 80's. How .... Edmonton. Starter salad will be an Iceberg wedge with Blue Cheese dressing. Followed by 20 softballs from Stauffer.
