Loved it all, but the bit at the end on Webster was absolutely fantastic. What a guy, and deserved every second of that standing ovation.
I was really busy with work in June/July so this is my first time seeing most of these interviews. Hunter Smith really impressed me as well. He seemed very well spoken and confident, I like what he can bring. Bennett, well what more needs to be said there.
Those videos make you proud to be a Flames fan. Developing into a great organization that continues to try and do all the right things.
I chuckled when Bennett met King and Edwards. I doubt the kid knew who he was talking with and power those two had in the world he now finds himself, let alone the greater world around him. Also liked the comments from Hunter Smith. My personal top target, after the big three, and was happy at all the things he had to say. Future starting to look a lot better after a mere two drafts.
If you're curious, the kid they show them interviewing in the first video, Joe Wegwerth, was drafted with the second pick of the fourth round by Florida (92nd overall). He was Central Scouting's 139th ranked NA Skater, so he was drafted well ahead of his ranking.

Grandma certainly dispels any notion that "Calgary was the team I wanted" was the equivalent of what a band says on the stage at the Saddledome, and then again the next night in Edmonton.
Liked the two Burke things .... 1) the nod 2) not having to wear the hat
Love productions like that.
Funny how awkward some of those conversations were.

Leafs one is up and they were offered the 21st, 33rd and 52nd picks for #8 which ended up being Nylander.
StL offered a solid package and if you watch the video, Nylander is awfully thin. That's a pretty tempting package, surprised that Toronto dismissed it pretty much outright. Fast forward to the 9 minute mark.
After watching the videos I wonder if Conroy was laying down misinformation when he mentioned that he and Treliving had different guys at number one. Seems like they both wanted Bennett.
