Bobby's Burger Palace (Bobby Flay's place) is starting to expand and that place is friggin unreal. I'd take a cab anywhere in a US city to get one. The one outside ARIA on the Vegas Strip may have been the best thing I ate in Vegas last trip and it's pure fast food.
I feel like In N Out Burger is one of those places that if we actually had one, we'd stop carrying about it. Similar to Carl's Jr. and Popeyes. Those places have settled down now that they are mainstream here. No one feels the need to have to go there anymore.

I disagree that In and Out would become normal. In and Out has a cult following in the US that Carl's junior and Popeyes just don't have.
I have not had a whatsburger or bobby flays yet.

I like Peter's Drive-In burgers. Something nostalgic about them. And they're simple, not too expensive. Plus you can get a delicious milkshake and they have great onion rings.
Probably not a popular option here (the only place more CP-trendy to poop on is Tim Hortons) but oh well.

That's because Tim Hortons food is objectively terrible and there is no rational reason to go there.
I do like Peters though.

Peters is good stuff. Nothing outstanding about them at all, but their operation has a certain (grimy) style that people just like.
Tims: Go for the muffins and iced capps. Both are the best of their type you can easily get. Donuts: go to Glamorgan Bakery.

I think you have the wrong thread. This is the burger and poutine thread.

The cult following in the US though is a result of it being only essentially in 3 states. If it was widespread I doubt it would be that much of a big deal anymore.

For cheap soup and sandwiches, Tims beats the hell out of Subway or Quizno's.

That said, while I find the anti-Tims backlash predictable and largely unfounded, it is also unquestionable that their business practices have taken the chain downhill. You can get better donuts from Safeway and Co-op now and most of their lunch food additions have fallen completely flat.

Unfounded? Besides their terrible coffee and food?

Tim's breakfast sandwiches are actually pretty damned good, honestly. I don't like their coffee, and obviously their lunch is terrible (although they make a decent chicken noodle soup).
Their donuts, though, are so thoroughly mediocre. People bring them into the office on Fridays when it's their turn to bring some form of early-death-inducing item, and those people should be burned at the stake.

Anyone see Mark Jankowski at In n Out or Tim Hortons? I heard he was waiting for Justin Trudeau, to help get this thread back on track.

I like the breakfast sandwiches, but most of the rest of the food is bad.
I used to like their sandwiches but they invented a new form of bread whose sole purpose is to eviscerate the inside of your mouth like chewing on razor blades.
So I get my sandwiches elsewhere now.
